Backstory
RG Architects was established on 1 January 1978 by Ronnie Goh Siew Huat.
RG Architects began as a modest practice with a team of two and has since grown into a multidisciplinary studio of ten design, technical, and administrative professionals. This growth reflects the practice’s steady development, supported by a team with strong experience across architecture, civil and structural coordination, and the wider construction industry.
Over the years, the practice has undertaken a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, industrial, commercial, religious, recreational, and hospitality sectors in Singapore, Jakarta, and Xiamen, China. Our work extends beyond architecture to include selected interior design commissions for workplaces and private residences, allowing us to shape environments at both the architectural and interior scale.
This breadth of experience has given the practice a strong understanding of the relationship between design intent, technical resolution, construction methodology, and project delivery. We approach each commission with an emphasis on clarity of concept, contextual sensitivity, functionality, and enduring architectural quality.
RG Architects has also participated in a number of architectural and design competitions, receiving recognition for several submissions. Selected projects and competition entries have attracted media attention, further reflecting the practice’s commitment to thoughtful design and its continued engagement with the broader architectural discourse.
